Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Technical Writer to develop user manuals, online help, and service documentation for mass spectrometry instruments and software. The role involves creating content in Technical English, managing graphics and videos, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards at the Bremen research and production facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user manuals, online help, and service documentation for instruments and software
• Gather, evaluate, and integrate technical information from subject matter experts
• Ensure documentation meets legal requirements and applicable standards
• Create, edit, and process graphics, photos, and videos for technical materials
• Manage pre- and post-processing of translation workflows and adapt to emerging AI tools

Requirements

• Completed education as Technical Writer or scientific degree (Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Linguistics)
• Several years of professional experience as Technical Writer
• Proficiency in Technical English writing and FrameMaker
• Experience with content management systems such as Schema ST4 or SDL Tridion Docs
• Knowledge of technical documentation standards and guidelines
• Proficiency in image editing and video creation software
• Fluent English; German language preferred
