Supply Chain Engineer in Franckfurt, Deutschland

Lynk is looking for a Supply Chain Engineer to execute procurement, logistics, and supplier coordination for payload and bus subcomponents. Working to a defined parts list and technical direction from engineering, this role is responsible for getting the right components in the door on time: sourcing, purchase orders, lead-time management, expediting, incoming receipt and inspection coordination, and outbound shipping.

This is an execution-focused, detail-driven role. The effective candidate is organized, persistent with suppliers, and comfortable running the cadence of supplier meetings and status tracking that keeps a hardware program on schedule. Experience procuring hardware for the space sector is preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

• Source and procure specified components and assemblies, issuing and tracking purchase orders through to delivery;
• Manage and communicate lead times, flag long-lead and single-source risks early, and expedite where schedule is at risk;
• Organize and run supplier meetings, maintain action logs, and track open items to closure;
• Coordinate receiving, incoming documentation, as-built characteristic records, and traceability for delivered components;
• Manage shipping and logistics, including international freight, customs documentation, and export control compliance;
• Maintain part, supplier, and inventory records, and keep procurement status visible to engineering and program management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or a related technical field;
• 3–5+ years procuring engineered hardware: electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical assemblies;
• Demonstrated ownership of the full purchase order cycle: RFQ, quote comparison, PO issuance, delivery tracking, expediting, discrepancy resolution, and receipt/invoice reconciliation;
• Ability to read and work from technical documentation: drawings, BOMs, part numbers and revision levels, datasheets, certificates of conformance;
• Business-fluent written and spoken English and German.
