Solution Engineer in Muenchen, Deutschland

About Finto

Finto is on a mission to reinvent how enterprises run their finance operations. Starting with AI-powered automation for accounts payable, we eliminate manual invoice handling, supplier chasing, 3-Way-Matching and ERP data entry. Backed by Y Combinator, we’re building the future of enterprise accounting.

Our mission is to free the world’s finance teams from repetitive, low-value tasks so they can focus on impactful work. That starts with building a place where everyone can do their best work. Whether you’re building on our platform, partnering with our customers, or shaping our story: We just make things finance teams want.

About the role

We’re looking for a founding Solution Engineer to join our founding team and lead the adoption of Finto’s AI-powered automation for some of the world’s largest enterprises. You’ll be the trusted partner guiding finance teams through onboarding, integration, and - most importantly - putting AI directly into their hands so they can radically reduce manual work and unlock new levels of productivity.

This is not a typical customer success role - its a technical, customer-facing role. You’ll focus on the time to value including data-set-up, workflow design, and change management. You’ll work closely with our founders to make sure customers embrace AI as a core part of their daily job.

We’re headquartered in Munich, with roots in San Francisco through Y Combinator.

What you’ll do

• Lead enterprise customers from contract signature through full-scale adoption, ensuring successful rollout and long-term expansion.

• Work directly with finance teams to redesign critical processes, embedding AI where it creates the most business value.

• Partner closely with customers to deeply understand their ERP environment, data structures, accounting workflows, and success metrics.

• Serve as the bridge between customers and our engineering team - gathering requirements, translating feedback into product insights, and surfacing unmet needs.

• Analyze AI performance using evals, with a strong affinity for SQL and working with complex, real-world customer data

• Build playbooks, onboarding frameworks, and training materials to create a scalable foundation for customer success

What we’re looking for

• 2-3+ years in solution engineering, consulting, or forward deployed engineering with enterprise customers.

• Experience driving adoption of complex software, ideally AI-powered or automation platforms. Familiarity with finance operations, APIs, ERP systems, or accounting workflows is a strong plus.

• Exceptional communication skills - able to train, inspire, and win over buyers, key users, IT leaders and your team members

• Proven ability to lead change management initiatives and help teams adopt new ways of working

• Hands-on problem-solver with a proactive, can-do approach.

• Thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments with high autonomy.

• Passion for making AI a practical, everyday tool for real people.

Life at Finto

• Career-defining growth: Big ambitions mean rapid progression, expanding responsibilities, and access to our San Francisco & YC network.

• Competitive pay & meaningful equity: Share in the upside of a YC-backed, fast-scaling company.

• 25 vacation days + 2 fixed “company recharge days.”

• Twice-yearly team offsites and hacker weeks in Europe or San Francisco.
