Your role
To combine strong product judgment with deep technical ownership, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/x) .
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own complex features and technical initiatives end-to-end, from understanding the underlying problem and challenging assumptions to designing the solution, shipping it, and improving it in production. Alongside your work within a product module, you will help solve technical problems that have broader consequences for the platform and the engineers building on it.
At Tanso, senior engineers remain hands-on product builders. The main difference at senior level is not simply owning “bigger features.” It is your ability to go deeper technically, navigate more complex problem spaces, make high-quality architectural decisions, and raise the effectiveness of the engineering organization around you.
Key responsibilities
- Own technically complex product initiatives from problem definition through architecture, implementation, rollout, and iteration.
- Identify unnecessary complexity, challenge assumptions, and help the team focus on solutions that create meaningful customer value.
- Contribute to cross-cutting platform improvements that make the product more reliable, maintainable, and easier to evolve.
- Raise the technical quality bar through thoughtful design, code reviews, technical guidance, and hands-on collaboration with other engineers.
- Work closely with product design, customer success, and other engineers to turn ambiguous problems into effective product solutions.
Your profile
- 5+ years of hands-on TypeScript experience in high velocity SaaS environments.
- Strong full-stack and product thinking, understanding systems end-to-end.
- Experience with backend development, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure.
- Clear, precise communicator in English.
- Self-driven problem solver with strong ownership and execution mindset.
