Lynk is looking for a Program Manager to own the industrialization of payload and bus subcomponents and manage a project that will include network orchestration and mission analysis. This role will own the schedule, budget, and deliverable set across all work streams, holding the industrialization, network orchestration, and mission analysis teams to their milestones, managing the interfaces between them, and serving as the primary interface to Lynk leadership and the funding partner on progress, cost, and risk.
Success in this role requires familiarity with manufacturing processes, supplier qualification, component-level test campaigns, and production scaling. A background in aerospace is welcome but not required, experience with complex electromechanical or electronic assemblies in automotive or another high-volume, high-reliability sector is equally valuable.
Core Responsibilities:
- Understand, manage, and take ownership of cost, schedule, and technical performance and risks associated with assigned efforts;
- Act as the primary interface to Lynk leadership and the funding partner on progress, cost, and risk, including formal reporting, review milestones, and deliverable submission;
- Manage the technical and programmatic interfaces between work streams, ensuring mission analysis outputs feed network orchestration and that industrialization decisions stay consistent with system-level requirements;
- Lead supplier engagement and development: present requirements, scope the work, negotiate design adaptations for producibility, and work through process qualification and first articles;
- Produce the industrialization roadmap, defining follow-on qualification steps, residual technical and industrial gaps, rate-ramp assumptions, and the integration path into Lynk's supply chain.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or better) in science, engineering, or relevant technical field from an accredited university; a Master degree and/or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field is preferred;
- 10+ years of experience contributing technically to projects in the wireless communications and/or spacecraft component development domains;
- Demonstrated experience as a Technical Lead and/or PM working in the wireless communications and/or space domains;
- Knowledge and understanding of processes, tools, and metrics essential for project monitoring and control and risk management;
- Demonstrated communication/presentation (oral and written), critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an attention to details;
- Must be good with computers. Fluent in Linux, Windows, and Mac OSX; Very capable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word).
