Master's thesis: Agentic AI system for a semiconductor database (m/f/div) in Renningen, Deutschland

Tasks

As part of your master's thesis, you will build an agentic AI system within the Robert Bosch IT infrastructure. You will connect this system to the semiconductor database (DB) and its description, and train the agent accordingly. Furthermore, you will investigate how effectively the agent can translate natural language intent into deterministic database operations. You will also analyze the efficiency and accuracy of the agentic system's autonomous reasoning loops compared to traditional human-in-the-loop data science workflows. Finally, you will learn how the agent tests hypotheses using historical data by simulating interventions (e.g., in manufacturing processes) to make robust, data-driven decisions.

• Education: Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or a comparable qualification
• Experience and skills: Knowledge of Python, Machine Learning, Agentic AI, SQL, Git and MCP; experience in software development and with databases
• Personality and work style: You work independently and are open to constructive feedback.
• Work routine: Your on-site presence is required
• Languages: Very good English skills and good German skills
