Climate Asset Development Lead (f/d/m) in Berlin, Deutschland

CEEZER

Berlin, Deutschland

A definitive shift is currently happening. Corporates across the globe are no longer just reporting on sustainability; they are actively investing in it as a core financial and strategic asset.

At CEEZER, we are architecting the infrastructure for enterprise-grade Climate Performance Asset management, transforming how the world's largest companies source and manage carbon credits, Energy Attribution Certificates (EAC), and Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificates (SAFc).

Our platform gives the world’s most ambitious enterprises the data-driven precision, real-time monitoring, and framework-compliant reporting required to confidently deploy capital toward high-impact Climate Performance Asset portfolios and true, measurable climate action.

We are looking for a Climate Asset Development Lead (f/d/m) , You will lead CEEZER’s expansion into climate performance assets by owning our strategy and deal execution across EAC, SAFc, and the secondary carbon market. Starting as a team of one, you'll drive supply origination, provide market expertise to clients, and scale your team alongside business growth.

Tasks

Your mission

  • Setting up the strategy for climate performance asset supply access across EAC, SAFc, and the secondary carbon market.
  • Evaluate and end-to-end drive the expansion of CEEZER in new climate performance assets, from market assessment to transaction.
  • Run the trading of climate performance assets: Ensure supply access, execute deals hands-on, negotiate prices & contracts, and structure complex transactions.
  • Lead and grow the Climate Asset Development team, starting with our Climate Asset Trader, setting priorities and building the team as volume grows.
  • Establish CEEZER's thought leadership on EAC and SAFc, provide expert insights and ensure the latest policy and market trends translate into strategy and execution company-wide.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, registries, and regulatory bodies and act as our subject-matter expert in client conversations.
  • Drive company-wide projects and collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Revenue, Supply, Operations, and Product.
  • Collect and structure data, collect quotes, and collaborate with data platforms and intelligence providers as a basis for analyses, forecasts, and decision-making.

  • Exceptional analytical skill set with attention to detail.
  • Executional excellence balanced with speed, and comfort taking measured risks within a defined framework.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, strong in building relationships with heterogeneous stakeholders internally and externally. Leadership experience is a plus.
  • High ownership, accountability, and integrity, paired with willingness to learn and grow.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial hunger.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, international relations, environmental studies or a related field is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • A valid work permit in Germany.

Benefits

What's in it for you at CEEZER?

  • A mission that matters: Work alongside international teams combining finance, tech, and climate science professionals to direct capital toward the world's most critical climate assets.
  • Accelerated growth: We are scaling fast, and your career will too. Take opportunities to lead cross-functional initiatives and expand your strategic influence.
  • True ownership: We are building in a brand-new market, meaning many of our best practices don’t exist yet. If you see a better workflow, tool, or strategy, you have the autonomy and backing to build it.
  • An empowering environment: We bring together diverse global perspectives, knowing that solving complex climate challenges requires a wide mix of backgrounds and expertise.
  • Real enterprise impact: Transform how global corporates approach sustainability. CEEZER hosts 50Mt+ of vetted carbon credits across all pathways, all backed by sophisticated data and institutional-grade risk management.
  • A net-zero career: We practice what we preach. From your first day, we fully offset your personal and professional carbon footprint because sustainability is how we operate.
